It's only been 2 years 10 days...

Two years have gone by... I have ummm umm well... I'm still alive how's that. Since last post most is a blur so I'll start with the bigger picture?... Again bullets :-P
  • Went to my First Cowboy game! Vs. the Bills...Won in absolute Last Second of the game 25-24!! I got Jerry Jones and Michael Irvin's autograph on my jersey!!!! :-D

  • I moved back to California October '07.

  • Lived with mom for months, now on my own, in studio in El Segundo. I Love it!

  • I work as an in-house graphic artist for a real estate company in Beverly Hills. Still freelance every now and then.

  • Swimming: Has excelled! I now swim with a team. Compete when there are meets. I qualified for masters short course nationals in 2008, which I will start training for soon. And qualified for long course nationals in all events I raced, timing was bad and didn't get to go though. Oh and I'm the fastest now than I've even been...least as of a month ago...

One of the guys on the team does a swim blog regularly. check it out www.scaq.blogspot.com Mostly about swimming...okay All About swimming, but there's a pic of me in there somewhere. :-)

  • Friends - some new, some old, some re-kindling...Family, well is family that's a whole nother Blog heehee. I love them all!!!

  • Flew in a helicopter for my birthday this year to Catalina. Now that was cool and an experience!

  • And I just got back from NYC from a adventurous relaxing weekend.

I can rent a car!

Happy 25th Birthday to me. This is a quick post even though I haven't posted in over 2 months. A quick update - I've was off work all summer; I went on a cruise with my mom to Key West, Cozumel and Belize; I went to camp and swam the 5 mile lake (Picture) My name is now on the board years after my mom's, I'm very happy to have Finally swam it!; I'm back at working; I've been swimming off and on, but mostly hanging out with my friends; Got into old episodes of Lost with Mike this summer; and other than that I watched lots of movies, did puzzles and went to the beach a few times. I will try and write more on this later, until then I've got to get back to work!

Here then There

Now that Trish has seen her Birthday post, I can update it. :-P

The city, night shot is of Chicago. Which I guess means that I went there. I flew out there to help set up a 20'x25' booth for work. The exhibit for our company is big, but compared to the other exhibits there it was ant like! We set it up for the NPE 2006 show at the McCormick center. The first thing I noticed was that other than my boss and I, there were No other females. I got in on a Wednesday and Thursday we set up the booth. We weren't allowed to touch much due to the union, which was annoying since I could of put it up faster. After it was all up, The Client told my boss he wanted it the opposite way it was...so 180 degrees. Lucky for me I had a 8am flight that Friday morning to Iowa.

Second part of my trip was Iowa. Can you tell Abelina has grown? I meet Trish in Iowa for a few days. She had to go for a wedding, and good timing it's only a puddle jump from Chicago. Most of the time I babysat Abelina, which I enjoyed very much. I had her ride a bike in Walmart, that was tons of fun. And she discovered that Jello is fun to play with and it edible. Trish was in the wedding so I 'got' to hold the squirmy Abelina standing for the whole wedding and pictures in the hot sun. Oh and we were both in dresses so it wasn't like we could just go play instead - or we would of. All in all it was a great trip! And was very happy to spend what time I could with Trish.

In a few days I leave for a CRUISE! My mom and I are leaving from Ft. Lauderdale and going on a 5 night cruise to Key West, Cozumel and Belize. This is my graduation gift from her. I'm very excited and will post more when I get back. Until I have to go Pack!!!

Happy Birthday Trish!

1) Happy Birthday Trish! Even though you're traveling today, I hope you enjoy it! Miss you!! See you soon...

2) Go Sabres!, in Game 7!! I got to go to game 3 and sit on the ice again. This picture of Miller, was taken from the first playoff game. As is the previous one. Although this past game I walked away with a Game Puck! :-D And they won 4-3.

This was my favorite part of game 6, besides the win of course.

Canton and some...

This picture I took in Cleveland, OH down by the flats. The flats use to be Cleveland's night life down by the waterfront. Although now it's vacant and more run down. I took Mike on a surprise mystery trip for his birthday. The main destination was the Football Hall of Fame. We took off a Friday and drove down for the weekend. I was a little disappointed that the 2006 Hall of Famers weren't in it yet! Although it was very cool learning how the sport has progressed over the years. But by far the best was seeing Emmitt Smith's jersey and helmet that he broke the all time rushing yards record in! Oct. 27, 2002, he set it with an 11 yard run in the 4th against Seattle. That game I watched and was waiting for!

I know it's been almost a month since my last post. Not sure where those weeks went, but they're gone. I can't really think of what all I have been up to. The pool I usually swim in is closed until the end of June! There is a closer pool, by my house that we've started to swim in. Today I swam in a really nice pool downtown! It has a movable bottom. And the water isn't salty nor to much chlorine / bromine, a very nice taste...for ones that like to spit the water. :-D

In a month I will be traveling a bit. For work we have this 25'x25' booth to set up in Chicago. I'll be flying out with my boss for a few days. Then from there I'm flying to Iowa to meet up with my best friend for the weekend. I'm really looking forward to both. Should be lots of fun. Last time I went to Chicago the night life was great. And I've never been to Iowa.

I suppose other things I've been up to are - playing imaginary air hockey, (that was this past weekend), read a book about Megalodon second in a series, watching many Sabre's games, still awaiting the warming of Niagara River, upgrading from a black and white phone to the world of color and camera, and trying to write this post for a week now...I'm going to just hit Publish now.

Go Sabres!

Frolic

I went with some fellow swimmer friends to the Sabre's first playoff game against the Flyers. I was lucky enough to sit on the ice, on the side of the winning goal. You can kind of tell how close I am, since the camera I used doesn't have great zoom. The game was pretty crazy and definitely Awesome sitting so close! You never really get use to the puck and players slamming into the glass in front of you...Nor fights right there.

The month of April seems to have gone almost too fast! My boss was off for two weeks and I had to take care of the company. So, that I'd have a job when she got back. I also have been doing freelancing to keep me even busier. Along with...Mike's birthday is tomorrow. Guess I should come up with something :-P

Swimming - has been slow. I've been doing it. But I have a much stronger desire to go play outside than swim. I wish the river was say 20* warmer. So, that I could go wakeboarding! The building manager Kenny, who I've gone out with before...Is ALREADY out there! So cold! The water is in the 40's and in order to use my shortie...I'd Prefer 60's at least. But that will probably happen the end of June. And I just don't think I can wait that long.

O Divine

"O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek
To be consoled...as to console
To be understood...as to understand,
To be loved...as to love,
for
It is in giving...that we receive,
It is in pardoning, that we pardoned,..."

There's not a day that passes that I don't think of you. There's not a day that passes that I don't wonder if you are still watching over me. There's not a day that passes that I ask myself, if you would be proud.... 4,018 days and I just want to tell you about my day.
